Month-long Campaign Begins September 1st and Features Events and Donation Drives Benefiting Local Charities

TYSONS, VA — September 1, 2016: Tysons Partnership announced the launch of #TysonsCares September Month of Giving, a month-long campaign featuring fundraising events and donation drives benefitting local charities.The campaign highlights community engagement throughout Tysons, Virginia, by bringing together teams and individuals from local businesses, municipalities, residential communities, and civic groups to donate, give back, attend lively charity events, and make a significant impact in the local non-profit community.

All Month Long: #Shoes4Kids: Children’s Athletic Shoe Donation Drive benefitting local elementary schools.

Sep 10 | 8:00AM: Food for Others Tysons 5K Run at Tysons I Mall benefitting Food for Others, a local food bank. The “Fastest Company in Tysons” receives a complimentary happy hour (food and drinks) at Eddie V’s for 30 employees.

About: #Shoes4Kids Athletic Shoe Donation Drive

In an effort to help children in need start the school year on the right foot, our #Shoes4Kids shoe drive is collecting new athletic shoes in sizes 9 toddler – 8 youth to benefit local elementary schools. Our goal is to donate 1,000 pairs of shoes to local Fairfax County elementary schools, and we need your help! Financial contributions may be made in lieu of shoe donations. For more details, including drop-off locations, visit:

About: Tysons 5K

The 5K is a timed event that runs around the Tysons Corner Center mall (Tysons I). Runners & walkers are welcome! Strollers are permitted. Prizes will be awarded to the top 5K finishers (Male/Female) in each of 4 age categories as well as the fastest corporate team (fastest average time of top 3 runners). Enjoy a selection of over 100 beers, play Bocce, Corn hole, Giant Jenga, & Beer (water) Pong, and other lawn games, and help our neighbors in need.
