2018 Community Champions Awards
Each year, the members of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors have the honor of selecting a citizen volunteer within their District to be recognized with a Community Champions Award. This distinguished award recognizes volunteers who are committed to improving Fairfax County through dedicated service.
Established in 1993, the Fairfax County Volunteer Service Awards serve as a community-wide celebration of volunteerism. The Awards honor individuals, groups and organizations that have given outstanding volunteer service through a broad range of activities and programs.
Over the last 26 years, Volunteer Fairfax has recognized more than 3,000 individuals for their commitment to the community. Our community is a better place because of volunteers. Honor your best supporters at Volunteer Fairfax’s annual county-wide volunteer recognition event, attended by more than 500 community members. Individuals and groups can be nominated in one of 14 competitive categories and four non-competitive categories. All nominees receive a complimentary invitation to the event.
