Tysons Partnership Names Sol Glasner President and Chief Executive Officer

February 16, 2017 — Tysons, VA — Tysons Partnership has named interim top executive Sol Glasner its president and CEO.

Glasner was appointed by the Partnership’s board of directors to serve as acting president and CEO in October of last year.

Glasner joined Tysons Partnership  as a founding board member on behalf The MITRE Corporation. He held several leadership positions with the Partnership, including service as its board’s Chairman from 2012-2014.

“Sol has a proven track record as a leader in our organization and in the Tysons business community,” said Greg Riegle, Chair of the Tysons Partnership of Directors. “His vision and ability to foster collaboration among local stakeholders will be a major asset to our efforts to elevate Tysons.”

In remarks made to the Partnership’s board, Glasner thanked the members for their persistent engagement.

“Already, Tysons Partnership is recognized as the go-to hub for Tysons information, thought leadership and placemaking,” said Glasner. “As Tysons continues to evolve, the Partnership will work consistently to deliver increased value to its members and to the larger community.”

Glasner also expressed appreciation to Fairfax County’s leadership for its support and steadfast commitment to the realization of the vision set out in the 2010 Comprehensive Plan for Tysons.

Glasner served for 22 years as General Counsel of The MITRE Corporation, a systems engineering firm with a headquarters operation in Tysons, VA. While there, he oversaw a varied in-house legal practice that emphasized government procurement, intellectual property, real estate matters, technology transfer and employment law. Glasner also served as the company’s corporate secretary and it chief ethics and compliance officer..

Prior to joining MITRE, Glasner held staff counsel positions at other technology companies, including Computer Sciences Corporation (now DXC Technology).
