3RD ANNUAL DC SUSTAINABILITY SUMMIT

DC Metro Area’s Premiere Green Building Symposium


October 2, 2017 – Tysons, VA – The DC Sustainability Summit (formerly Tysons Sustainability Summit) is a one-day long conference showcasing thought leaders and experts in green building and sustainable design. The summit will be held at the Capital One Headquarters in Tysons, Virginia (1680 Capital One Drive, Tysons, Virginia) on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 9:00 am – 5:30 pm.

Registration is open until October 17th at www.DCSustainability.org for $75 / $35 for students (with student ID) and includes lunch and happy hour.

The opening keynote session features high performance systems expert, Mike Hess, VP of Smart and Sustainable Buildings at Panasonic. Mike travels the world in search of latest and greatest ideas and technologies to incorporate into smart cities and green buildings. He will discuss innovative strategies and game-changing technologies on the horizon.

The closing keynote is best-selling author and globally inspirational speaker, Eric Corey Freed. Eric’s experience as principal of organicARCHITECT, XPRIZE Visioneer, and executive leadership at EcoDistricts and Human Health Initiative, has shaped his vision of the future of the American design and construction industry. He’ll share his perspective on a complete reset to how we approach sustainability.

Between the keynote sessions will be thought-provoking presentations and panels featuring speakers from National Geographic, Transwestern, Capital One, Steam Realty Partners, DPR Construction, DC DOEE, and DCS Design.

The Summit concludes with an afternoon Green Product Expo and Happy Hour, where attendees will have hands-on access to exciting new sustainable building technologies and business solutions.
