Local Pizza Chain to Open Tysons Store in Summer

MCLEAN, VA -- The Washington, DC-based &pizza will open a store in the Tysons Corner in late summer.

The store will be located near Parking Garage A between Drybar and BGR The interior seating for 46 and the fully built-out outdoor patio. This will be &pizza's fifth Virginia location. It can also be found at the Springfield Mall, Reagan National Airport, and Dulles International Airport at Concourses B and C.

The pizza chain has not set an official opening date.

DC foodies can recognize &pizza pies since they do not look like the typical circular pie. &pizza crafts its pies in an oval shape and is served in long, rectangular boxes. The pizza chain allows customers to build a pie from scratch with unlimited ingredients or choose a signature pizza. Some of its custom pizzas include an Elvis PB&J, Pineapple JAck Hawaiian, and Gnarlic, a spin on the white pie. There are also gluten-free and vegan offerings.

The stores also offer craft sodas and teas, while select locations serve up wine and beer. The pizza chain has been recognized by "Best Of" awards in Business Insider, The Washington Post, Washington City Paper and more.

&pizza will also expand to New York City in the summer and has locations in Baltimore and Philadelphia. The first location opened in Washington, D.C.’s H Street Corridor in 2012 and has multiplied to 21 stores.
