Executive Vice President Joe Ritchey specializes in leasing the office components of urban mixed-use developments in Northern Virginia.
Joe joined Transwestern in 2018. As founder and principal of real estate brokerage and consulting firm Prospective, Inc., he spent a significant portion of his career representing Boston Properties in leasing the 3 million-square-foot office component of internationally recognized Reston Town Center in Reston, Virginia. This vibrant, urban mixed-used development, which opened in 1990, includes over 450,000 square feet of retail amenities.
In addition to his work for Boston Properties, Joe has also represented Mobil Land Development Corporation (Reston, Virginia), Hazel/Peterson Companies (Fair Lakes, Virginia) and the Walt Disney Imagineering (Celebration, Florida) in leasing and consulting on the office components of large-scale mixed-use developments.
Joe is an enthusiastic community-builder, place-maker, and ambassador of the arts. He worked to support a thriving arts scene at Reston Town Center. In 2007, he founded Public Art Reston, which funded a consultation team to create and execute a Public Art Master Plan for Reston, making it the first non-incorporated jurisdiction in the U.S. to do so.
