In his role as Vice President and General Manager for Gilbane’s DC office, Emre leverages his experience, relationships and successful track record to lead Gilbane’s growth in District of Colombia and Virginia. His business unit is one of the fastest growing enterprises in Gilbane with a staff of 135 professionals, and it was named the 5th largest general contractor in greater D.C in 2017. Prior to his role at Gilbane, Mr. Ozcan served as Senior Vice President for JE Dunn Construction as their General Manager for Houston market. With over 25 years in the industry, he has a proven track record of finding customized solutions to clients’ needs and building an engaging and collaborative workplace.

Mr. Ozcan is one of the early adaptors of Lean in construction industry. Emre’s leadership in Lean construction has yielded outstanding results for his clients. Emre is also invested heavily in streamlining the Virtual Design in construction. His vision and commitment to cutting edge technologies enabled his business units to achieve great financial results for his clients and his organization.

Mr. Ozcan’s extensive experience in healthcare, corporate and institutional construction has enhanced Gilbane’s ability to provide the highest quality service to its clients. Having worked with clients such as Events DC, JBG Smith, Georgetown University, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Exxon Mobil, Bechtel, Baylor College of Medicine, Rice University and Texas A&M University; Emre has built a client centric business unit with a diversified client portfolio.

Mr. Ozcan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University, a Master of Science in Construction Management from Northeastern University, and a Master of Business Administration from Boston College. Emre served on the Board of Rice Design Alliance which is an affiliate of Rice School of Architecture.
